Bankrolled

Bankrolled exists to hold candidates accountable. It shows, for every U.S. Senate and House race on the 2026 Midterms ballot, where each candidate's money comes from and what their public record shows: campaign donors, PACs, super PAC spending for and against them, dark money behind those groups, roll-call votes, sponsored bills, stock trades, gifts and sponsored travel, lobbying ties, and past races.

Where the data comes from

All candidate data is drawn from Poliscope, a political transparency platform that cross-links public records from the FEC, Congress.gov, Senate and House lobbying disclosures, SEC EDGAR, USAspending, OGE financial disclosures, and congressional gift and travel filings. Race rosters are seeded from FEC candidate registrations and curated by hand so that only the general-election field appears.

Every section links to the corresponding Poliscope page or original filing. When we say a candidate “took money” from a group, the amount and the filing it came from are shown.

Hot buttons

The flags on the home page are rules, not opinions. Each names the committees, people, or record types it checks, and each match shows the underlying amount. See the full list and the methodology.

Independence

Bankrolled has no affiliation with any campaign, party, PAC, or advocacy group, and takes no position on any race. Data is refreshed nightly.

Sister site

Name Politics is built by the same person from the same kind of public filings, and asks a smaller question: whether a first name leans one way politically. It measures campaign contributors and statewide voter rolls in aggregate, and publishes no individual record. Where Bankrolled is about specific people seeking office, that one is about names in bulk.

Corrections

Entity matching across government databases is probabilistic, and filings themselves contain errors. If something looks wrong, email bankrolled@nimbuspeaksolutions.com with the page and, if you can, the filing it should reflect. We review every report and correct errors promptly; corrected figures appear after the next nightly update.

Disclaimer

Beta. Bankrolled is a beta service. Its figures are compiled automatically, every night, from public government filings via Poliscope and the Federal Election Commission. They can contain errors introduced by the filers, by the data sources, or by our own processing, and they can be incomplete or out of date. Late filings, amendments, and reports not yet processed by the FEC may not be reflected.

Public records. Everything shown is drawn from public filings, and each section links to its source. Figures labeled “provisional”, “partial”, or as coming from 24/48-hour notices are explicitly incomplete or unreconciled.

No implication of wrongdoing. A candidate appearing on this site, receiving a contribution, being the subject of outside spending, or matching a flag does not mean that the candidate, a donor, or any committee did anything improper or illegal, or that any of them endorses or is connected to another beyond what the filing shows. Flags are mechanical rules applied to filings, not judgments.

No warranty. The site and its data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bankrolled and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the site or its data. Verify anything important against the original filing before relying on it.

Not advice. Nothing here is legal, financial, tax, or voting advice, and Bankrolled does not endorse or oppose any candidate or party.
